These are ideal for home workers or branch offices with a cable modem or ADSL connections. They are not the cheapest router/firewalls around, but its VPN facility provides a secure, encrypted connection to the main office. Full IPSec VPN means it can inter-operate with any firewall that supports IPSec, and PPTP allows easy, secure connection to Microsoft-based LANs.
SnapGear firewalls inter-operate well with VPN firewalls from other manufacturers. We have configured SnapGears for our clients with VPNs to CheckPont, WatchGuard, SonicWall and Cisco PIX firewalls.
