Ordering
Orders for goods msut be accompanied by payment. Payment can
be made by Mastercard, Visa, Delta and Switch cards, by cheque
or wire transfer to our bank account.
Unfortunately our credit card merchant account does not, at
present, allow us to accept orders from the website or by e-mail.
We hope this will change in the not too distant furture.
In the meantime, the easiest thing to do is to e-mail
us with your phone number and we will call you back. Alternatively,
ring or fax through your order and
we will fill it ASAP.
Our lawyers made us say this...
- The information displayed on this website, including prices,
does not constitute an offer to contract or enter into an agreement.
We shall not be obliged to accept your order. If we do, your
order will be confirmed by fax or e-mail.
- Errors and omissions excepted. Information displayed on this
website, including prices and specifications, are published in
good faith and based on information from our suppliers. We undertake
to correct any mistakes that are brought to our attention.
- All goods and/or services displayed on this website are subject
to availability. If an item is out of stock, you will be told
at the time of order
- We will make every effort to maintain prices, although it
may be necessary to change prices either up or down. You will
be notified of any price changes at the time your order is confirmed
and you will have the opportunity to cancel the order at that
time.
- Prices are shown both with and without VAT (for the covenience
of business customers), but delivery charges are not included.
- If you choose to pay by credit or debit card, it will not
be charged until the order is despatched. If you choose to pay
by cheque, the goods will not be despatched until the cheque
has cleared.
Delivery
Please note that it takes time to do the paperwork and to pack
the goods. We will do our best, but orders received after 1500
local time may not be shipped until the following business day.
Unless instructed otherwise at the time the order is placed,
for UK destinations,
- we will ship small items via Royal Mail; cost varies by weight,
but should be around £5 (+ VAT);
- we ship larger items via Amtrak “next business day”
service; again the costs varies according to the size and weight
of the goods, but is usually around £15 (+ VAT) for single
items.
If you have other requirements, such as Saturday delivery or
a guaranteed pre-noon delivery, we will be please to get a quote
from our shippers.
We will ship to anywhere in the world!
- We will simply pass on the cost of shipping as quoted to
us by the shippers.
- Our shippers cannot offer advice on customs clearance in
your country of residence, nor will the cost be covered by the
shipping charges. Any duties or taxes due at the point of importation
is your responsibility as is the cost of dealing with customs
in your country.
- We are required by law to charge VAT at the UK rate (currently
17.5%) in certain circumstances. You will be told at the time
of the order whether this is applicable or not.
