The FireBrick range (Plus, SOHO) is a firewall that is transparent (in its default configuration) to your LAN and can be deployed between your WAN router and your LAN without any need to reconfigure either. It behaves like a filtering hub or switch and does not require an IP address in either your WAN or LAN range. It can also be configured as a conventional routing firewall providing NAT, DHCP etc.
The FireBrick can also bond 2 (or more) WAN links and has traffic-shaping capabilities. Although it will not teriminate VPN tunnels (it uses a proprietary tunnelling mechanism), it is completely transparent to IPsec and PPTP traffic (even when NATing) and will allow you to run both VPN client and servers on the LAN.
