ADSL—ethernet routers are OS-independent and will work with any system that supports TCP/IP over ethernet (e.g. any flavour of Windows, Mac OS, or Unix). Routers can be used to connect either a single system or an entire local-area network (LAN) to the Internet.
We have tested the ADSL routers below with the firewalls that we supply, and can confirm that they work well together. For the simplest configuration, ask your ISP for a block of static IP addresses if you want to use a separate VPN firewall in conjunction with your ADSL router. It is possible to to use just 1 IP address (static or dynamic), but the configuration is more difficult.
These routers have one LAN-facing ethernet port. Use them to connect a single system, or to your hub/switch if you already have one to connect your whole LAN.

These routers have a built-in hub or switch and are ideal if you have only a few systems on your LAN and you do not already have a hub or switch.
